I really liked having a window that we could open for fresh air. There was plenty of hot water and it was lovely to have a bathtub to relax in.

It was directly on the river which, as we were arriving by boat, was an excellent plus for us!!
The quality of the food could have been better - my husband had lemon meringue pie for dessert and it was very disappointing - no big fluffly meringue.

Very nice hotel situated in calm and peaceful surroundings on the banks of a picturesque stretch of river. Nice size room which was very well equiped + good quality bedding and towels. Plenty of parking and very pleasant outside space. We dined at the hotel in the evening - food good with varied menu and first rate service. Huge choice at breakfast, everything you could think of! Staff extremely helpful and polite. Would definately book again

Charming Stay with Good Dining Options
A highlight was the really good food experience at the on-site restaurant. The flavors impressed us! One small suggestion would be for the bar staff to check-in more frequently as closing time approached.

Comfortable friendly surroundings, nice airy room with comfortable beds and good facilities, varied menu of high quality food served on hot plates (as appropriate), dining facilities pristine and service excellent, complimentary newspaper. We asked for a quiet room on the back and got one, however the distance from the road probably meant we would not have been too bothered by traffic noise.
The breakfast menu did not appear to include fish. We didn't ask but these days with an emphasis on healthy eating we think it should be offerred. The wedding party the night before had left bottles and a take- away meal on a bench near the entrance - we thought these should have been tidied up before guests rose for breakfast.

The Kingfisher has charming surroundings and a lovely riverside location. The staff were great. Dining outside by the water was a highlight, and the cleanliness of the room.
Could use more variety in breakfast options.

Kingfisher was perfect for my stay! The ground floor room was pet friendly, with bowls and a bed for my pup. The location has lovely grounds, ideal for early morning potty breaks. The staff were attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, especially in the restaurant.

The staff were really friendly and facilitating. We arrived early and that wasn't a problem. We didn't realise the check out time and thought it was 12pm when it was 11am and they rang the room but were not rude and just to tell us but so we knew to do our best to vacate but told us not to worry. Overall nice location, nice room and really nice staff.
